For the seventh consecutive season, the Penguins wore adidas ADIZERO jerseys - a style and cut that was introduced at the beginning of the 2017-18 NHL season - and continued wearing adidas' Primegreen technology for a third consecutive season. The style was designed to take the hockey uniform and jersey silhouette to the next level by redefining the fit, feel, and construction of the jersey. The jerseys feature unique cresting materials and construction technology, adidas Clima® technology to deliver breathability and enhanced performance, and a series of high-performance materials containing a minimum of 50% recycled content.
On Monday, October 9, 2023, the Penguins announced a multi-year agreement with F.N.B. Corporation and its largest subsidiary, First National Bank, that would feature the F.NB. logo on the chest of the Penguins' Road (white) jerseys beginning with the start of the 2023-24 National Hockey League regular season. The 3-by-3.5-inch F.N.B. Corporation and First National Bank branded logo stacked above the F.N.B. font was embroidered direcly onto the right chest of the Road (white) jerseys. The sponsorship agreement with F.N.B. that will feature the logo on all pre-season, regular season and Stanley Cup playoff road games will run through the conclusion of the 2026-27 NHL season. Highmark remained the sponsor of the team's Home (black) jerseys, but the logo was now embroidered directly onto the jerseys.
The adidas logo is featured on the back neckline with a white logo embroidered onto black twill on the Home (black) jerseys and a black logo embroidered onto white twill on the Road (white) jerseys. A black and light gray Primegreen tag was sewn on the back right hem which wrapped to the inside of the jersey and featured the adidas website - ADIDAS.COM/SUSTAINABILITY. The inside neckline of each jersey features "Made in Canada" in three languages (English, French and Spanish), the adidas logo, and the jersey's numerical size in three languages screened on. Below the markings inside the neckline is the Primegreen logo screened onto a black piece of material on the Home (black) and Third jerseys and a white piece of material on the Road (white) jerseys. Inside the left side seam is a manufacturer's washing instructions tag.

The Home (black) jerseys were worn in a total of 14 games. The Road (white) jerseys were worn in a total of 23 games. The set continued into the regular season and was worn for the final time on December 2, 2023 vs. Philadelphia (Home (Black)) and January 8, 2024 at Philadelphia (Road (White)). The Penguins brought back their third jerseys which feature the PITTSBURGH diagonal script across the front with the non-golden triangle skating penguin logo on each shoulder for the third straight season and began wearing them on October 26th vs. Colorado at PPG Paints Arena. The set continued throughout the regular season and was worn for the final time on April 11, 2024 vs. Detroit. The jerseys were worn in a total of eight games. On November 16, 2023 in a 5-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins wore a special set of "Jerseys for Warmth" to benefit the Dollar Energy Fund. The fund is a 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for households experiencing hardships by providing utility assistance and other services that lead to self-sufficiency. For more than 39 years as of the auction, Dollar Energy Fund has served the limited-income community by providing $240 million in utility assistance grants to more than 794,000 limited-income families and individuals. A special set tag was screened inside the back hem of each jersey. 20 game worn jerseys and one game issued jersey were auctioned by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation on auctions.nhl.com from November 17, 2023 to December 1, 2023. The auction raised a total of $28,554.00.

On February 18, 2024, the Penguins wore a special set of "Celebrate 68" jerseys for pre-game warm-ups prior to the game against the Los Angeles Kings at PPG Paints Arena to commemorate Jaromir Jagr's jersey retirement. The jerseys were identical to the Third (black) jerseys and sizes worn during the regular season except all jerseys had Jagr's #68 on the back and sleeves along with the Captain's "C" sewn on the front to the right of the commemorative Jagr 68 patch on the left chest. A special set tag was also sewn inside the back hem of each jersey next to a screened-on logo that featured the number of each player that wore the accompanying jersey. The players' number was also written inside the back at the top of the fight strap. A total of 23 players skated in the pre-game warm-up, including Jagr who donned a unform and participated. Valtteri Puustinen and Pierre-Olivier Joseph partcipated in the pre-game skate, but did not play in the game. The jerseys were sold for fixed prices on PensGear.com.

On April 13, 2024, the Penguins wore a special set of "Erik Karlsson" jerseys for pre-game warm-ups prior to the game against the Boston Bruins at PPG Paints Arena to commemorate Erik Karlsson's 1,000th NHL regular season game. The jerseys were sold online at PensGear.com for various prices. The jerseys were identical to the Home (black) jerseys worn during the regular season and all players wore Karlsson's #65. The player's number who wore the jersey was screened on inside the back hem to the right of a special set tag the was sewn inside the back hem commemorating Karlsson's 1,000th game. On April 15, 2024, the Penguins wore a special set of jerseys that were given to fans at the conclusion of the game against the Nashville Predators at PPG Paints Arena. The Penguins wore their Home (black) jerseys for this game and they were tagged with a special "Shirt Off Our Backs" set tag inside the back hem. A total of 23 jerseys were prepared for the game with 19 being game worn and one bench worn. Tristan Jarry served as the back-up goalie and did not play.
