The 2008 NHL Entry Draft was held on Friday, June 20, 2008 (1st round) and Saturday, June 21, 2008 (2nd to 7th rounds) at Scotiabank Place, home of the Ottawa Senators. The Tampa Bay Lightning won the draft lottery with Los Angeles and Atlanta winning the second and third picks, respectively.
