
On June 26, 2024, the National Hockey League and Fanatics officially debuted the Fanatics Authentic Pro NHL on-ice uniforms. The new uniforms are being manufactured by Quebec-based SP Apparel, the same company whose elite craftsmanship has provided the NHL's on-ice uniforms for nearly 50 years. While the jersey's base contruction remains similar to the adidas ADIZERO Primegreen design from 2017-18 to 2023-24, new features of the Fanatics Authentic Pro uniform, which is made in Canada with domestic and imported contect, include
Highmark remained the sponsor of the team's Home (black) and Third jerseys for the third consecutive season and F.N.B. Corporation sponsored the team's Road (white) jerseys for the second year in a row. Both sponsorship logos were embroidered directly onto the jerseys.
The Fanatics logo is featured on the back neckline with a white logo embroidered onto black twill then stitched onto the Home (black) jerseys and a black logo embroidered onto white twill and stitched onto the Road (white) jerseys. The inside neckline of each jersey features "AUTHENTIC PRO" designations and an NHL/Fanatics branded Authentic Pro tag indicating the size of the jersey and "Made in Canada with Domestic and Imported Content" in two languages (English and French), the adidas logo, and the jersey's numerical size in three languages screened on. Inside the left side seam is a manufacturer's washing instructions tag.
Jerseys were lettered and numbered by Pro Knitwear of Pittsburgh, PA.
- An additional layer of fabric inside the lower sleeve to enhance uniform durability intended to reduce material wear from sustained friction against the boards. This enhancement was the direct result of feedback from NHL players and equipment managers.
- New shoulder fabrics replacing the debossed pattern fabric used on the shoulders of the prior NHL jersey.
- A new NHL Shield execution on the front neck of the jersey which includes a special hologram finish.
- Fanatics branding embroidered on the back neck of jerseys.

The Penguins began wearing Set 1 jerseys with the start of the 2024-25 pre-season on September 21st vs. Buffalo at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY. The Home (black) jerseys were worn in a total of 15 games. The Road (white) jerseys have been worn in a total of 32 games. The set continues into the regular season. Each individual jersey within the set will be worn as allocated by the Pittsburgh Penguins and each jersey should be researched individually to determine exactly when each jersey was worn.

The Penguins brought back their third jerseys which feature the PITTSBURGH diagonal script across the front with the non-golden triangle skating penguin logo on each shoulder for the fourth straight season and began wearing them on October 29th vs. Minnesota at PPG Paints Arena. The set continued throughout the regular season. The jerseys have been worn in a total of six games. On November 19, 2024 in a 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins wore a special set of "Jerseys for Warmth" to benefit the Dollar Energy Fund. The fund is a 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for households experiencing hardships by providing utility assistance and other services that lead to self-sufficiency. For more than 40 years as of the auction, Dollar Energy Fund had served the limited-income community by providing $240 million in utility assistance grants to more than 794,000 limited-income families and individuals. A special set tag was screened inside the back hem of each jersey. 19 game worn jerseys and one bench worn jersey were auctioned by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation on auctions.nhl.com from November 20, 2024 to December 6, 2024. The auction raised a total of $25,465.00.
