Played seven games with the Penguins scoring two goals...Scored his
first NHL goal on Oct. 12 vs. NY Rangers at the age of 19...Sidney
Crosby (age 19) and
Jordan Staal (age 18) also found
the back of the net marking the first time a trio of teenagers on
one team scored in the same game since October 17, 1982, when
Buffalo's Dave Andreychuk, Paul Cyr, and Phil Housley tallied for
the Sabres...Spent the remainder of the season with Val d'Or (QMJHL)
scoring 52 points (14+38) in 40 games played...Served as team
captain and registered a +19 rating...Named QMJHL First Team
All-Star...Earned the Emile "Butch" Bouchard Trophy as the QMJHL's
best defenseman and the Paul Dumont Trophy (personality of the year)
as well as the Kevin Lowe Trophy (top defensive defenseman)...Ranked
