2002-03: Appeared in six games with the Penguins...Went scoreless with two penalty minutes...Made his Pittsburgh and NHL debut Dec. 10 at Toronto...Recalled by the Penguins on Dec. 9...Played in six games before being re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on Dec. 30.

 

2003-04: Appeared in 79 games with the Penguins during rookie season, recording 10 points (1+9) and 127 penalty minutes...Led all NHL rookies in short-handed assists (3) and tied for second among NHL rookies in short-handed points (4)...Named to the Eastern Conference Young Guns roster during NHL All-Star Weekend in St. Paul, MN...
Led the Penguins in penalty minutes...Recorded first NHL point, an assist, Oct. 25 at NY Islanders...Scored his first NHL goal, Jan. 24 vs. Colorado (Philippe Sauve).

 

2005-06: Physical defenseman had nine points (2+7) and 124 penalty minutes in 64 games...Missed multiple games with a broken foot and a shoulder injury in the middle of the season...Appeared in his 100th NHL game on Nov. 9 against Atlanta...Finished the season with a plus or even rating in 43 of the 64 games in which he played...Selected to play for Team USA at the World Championships in Latvia...Did not record a point, but had 10 penalty minutes in seven games.

 

2006-07: Tallied six assist and registered a career-high +4 rating...Led the Penguins with 186 hits...Ranked third on the club with 82 penalty minutes...Fourth on the Penguins with 114 blocked shots...Was a plus or even player in 53 of 70 games played...Played in his 200th NHL game on Mar. 1 vs. NY Rangers. PLAYOFFS: Made Stanley Cup playoff debut going scoreless in five games played.

 

2007-08: Rugged defenseman ranked fifth in NHL with 239 hits during regular season...Registered career best +/- rating (+12) and also set career-highs in assists (10) and points (11)...Twice had nine hits in a game - Nov. 30 vs. Dallas and Mar. 20 vs. Tampa Bay...239 hits were second among NHL defensemen...Ranked third on team with 125 blocked shots...Scored a goal Feb. 14 vs. Carolina, his first goal since October 22, 2005 - a span of 180 games...Had two assists Nov. 5 vs. New Jersey, his first multiple-point game since April 5, 2006.
