2007-08: Played first three NHL games, recording two assists...Made NHL debut Feb. 13 vs. Boston and scored first NHL point, and assist, Mar. 1 vs. Ottawa...Had outstanding season as AHL rookie and helped lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to Calder Cup Finals...Set new AHL records for points in a playoff season by a defenseman with 28...Broke the record set by former WB/S defenseman Chris Kelleher in 2001...Had 28 points (4+24) in 23 playoff games and ranked second overall in AHL playoff scoring...Tied AHL record for points in a playoff season by a rookie, set by Mike Sillinger of Adirondack in 1989...Set team record with eight-game point streak in playoffs...In regular season, had 38 points (10+28) with +15 rating in 70 games...Tied team record with four assists Dec. 31 vs. Norfolk...Named to AHL's Planet USA All-Star team.

2008-09: Spent the first half of the season with Pittsburgh, playing 45 games and recording six goals, 14 assists, 20 points, four power-play goals and a +5 rating as a rookie blueliner…Among NHL rookie defensemen, finished first in power-play goals, second in total goals, third in points, third in assists and fifth in plus-minus, all despite playing only 45 games…Saw action in two postseason games…Played in his first career NHL playoffs game May 9 at Washington in conference semifinals…Notched his first career postseason point (assist) in Game 6 vs. Washington…Notched a career-high three-point game (2+1) Dec. 22 at Buffalo…Had a career-high four-game scoring streak, posting four points (1+3) from Nov. 1-11…Notched three multi-point games…Recorded his first NHL goal (and first power-play tally) Oct. 5 vs. Ottawa in Stockholm, Sweden…Tallied first shootout goal Nov. 13 vs. Philadelphia…Was re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton March 7…Notched 18 points (2+16) in 26 games in the AHL…Added six postseason points (1+5) in nine contests.

2009-10: Spent his first full season with the Penguins, establishing career highs across the board in games (69), goals (8), assists (29), points (37) and +/- rating (+7)...His 29 assists and 37 points both ranked second among Penguins' defensemen...Saw significant time on the Penguins' top power-play unit...Ranked fifth on the team and second among defensemen with 17 power-play points (2+15)...Had a career-high seven-game point streak, posting eight points (4+4) from Oct. 14 - 30...Played his 100th career game Mar. 4 at NY Rangers. 2010 PLAYOFFS: Recorded two goals and nine points in 13 games...His nine points were tied for fifth most on the squad...Posted first career postseason goal in Game 1 of quarterfinals vs. Ottawa...Posted six points (1+5) in semifinals vs. Montreal, tied for most on team...Valuable second option on blueline for power play, averaging 2:59 power-play minutes per game...Finished with a plus or even rating in 11 of 13 playoffs games.
